    THEME: YOU NEED UNDERSTANDING

SCRIPTURE: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” Ephesians 1:17-19 (KJV)

Many believers do not understand the rules of engagement. No wonder Apostle Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus that their eyes of understanding may be enlightened. Notice that Apostle Paul didn’t pray for us to have a car. He didn’t pray for us to have a house. He didn’t pray for us to have a husband or a wife. They are all good, but they are all encapsulated in one word “understanding”. Through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

God’s desire for us is to know. God desires that we should have a revelation of how things work in the realm of the Spirit. The phrase “And God Said” in Genesis 1:3 made us think that it is only what God says that can be fulfilled. What about us? And what God said is acceptable to many. When God says it, it comes to the past. But assuming God hasn’t said anything. What do we do? That is where understanding the rule of engagement becomes very important. Because God said, and it came to past, I can also say, and it will come to past. God wants you to call those things that be not as though they were. You have been engaged to speak.

Going by the law of the first mention, the first verse of the Bible gives a knockout to the devil. “In the beginning God…” Not the devil! So, I don’t care what the enemy has done to you, his plans and designs against your life will never work. His attacks and strategies against your life will never stand.
