SCRIPTURE: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3 (KJV)
Nothing can stop you from being successful in life when the Word of God becomes your anchor. Our text speaks of a specie of being who is like a tree that is planted by the rivers….and whatsoever he does prosper. Who is this man? Let’s look at Psalms 1:1-2: “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night” (NKJV)
The man that the scriptures describe above takes delight in the Word and he meditates in the Word day and night. When he does that and he receives the Word, then he prospers in whatever he does. If you want to prosper in whatsoever you are doing, latch on to the Word of God that has no margin for error. In whatever area you desire to prosper, get into the Word. Jesus said: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63 NKJV).
Jesus is saying in essence, the answer is in the Word. The answer is not in man’s opinion, not in what people are saying around you, not in what the billboards and the social media is saying. The answer is in what God is saying! The secret to the success of Jesus was putting His ears in the mouth of the Father. If you want to prosper, get into the Word! Get addicted to the Word!
In Psalms 27:4, David reveals the secret of his success. “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple” The secret of success is hidden in the word of God – study, meditate and do the word and success are guaranteed.
