SCRIPTURE: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (KJV)

To arrive means that you have reached your destination. It means to attain a position of success, power, achievement, fame, or the like. When athletes take off in a 100m or 400m dash and they get to the finishing line, they stop and then rest. They don’t keep on running. Why? It is simply because they have reached their goal. If you are a football fan, when the game is over, the referee blows the whistle. The coaches will shake hands and the footballers will exit the field. When a plane lands at its destination, it lands on the runway, taxis to a stop, the pilot turns off the engine and the passenger exit.

In the same way, Child of God, it is time to turn off the engine! Your engine has been running for too long. The understanding that you have arrived will cause all anxiety, stress, pain, and all kinds of agitation to cease. You rest! Even in battle, you rest. That is what it means to operate from the finishing line. What you know will free you from stress.

The twelve spies were sent to the promised land to go and spy on the land which the Lord had given to them. God showed them the land and they came back with the grapes. Why did God send them there? He sent them so that they can be focused on their destination. God knew there were giants there, but He said I have given you the land. So, what was their business with the giants? He knew why He kept the giants there. It was so that they could till the land for the coming inhabitants. You cannot till it. He put them there because they were strong. They will help till it. They will help you to build the place. Most of the time we are focused on the giants, and we want to confront and fight for something that God has already given to us.

According to Jesus, we already have peace. So, when the tribulation comes at you, begin to celebrate because you have arrived.  Jesus has deprived that thing that is coming against you of the power to hurt you. You have already arrived at your destination. You are already there! Operate from the finishing line.
