SCRIPTURE: “This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.” Hebrews 10:25 (TPT)

One of the lies of the devil that came to the fore post-pandemic is that you do not have to come physically to church anymore, after all, God is a Spirit. I totally agree that God is a Spirit and God is everywhere but look at our scripture for today.

Yes, there are times you cannot make it to church, and you can join the service online in the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you are and that is so beautiful; that is the benefit of technology. But the internet cannot and must not replace your physical presence in the church. We live in a time and season when men are putting convenience above commitment, and this is not new to God. That is why the scripture for today is in the Bible.

Your coming to church is not just to listen to the choir or the sermon; it is much more. There is a corporate anointing released that you cannot generate on your own, and that is why you should come to church.

Can you imagine what will happen if all members of the choir decided to watch online? Which music will you enjoy online? What if the technical crew members all decide to worship online, who connect the service to the streaming platform you are enjoying? Dearly beloved, this is not the time to serve God by convenience, it is time for total commitment. It is time to come together more frequently and strengthen each other.

When coming to church, do not leave your children at home. Yes, they are young. They may not understand what is being said in church, but bring them along, let them understand the power in corporate fellowship, be like Joshua who said: as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord and see God bless your household in ways you cannot explain because there is a blessing in commitment.
