TB Joshua Sermon COMFORT IN AFFLICTION!!! | : God often brings good out of evil, and promotes his purpose, just like in the case of Joseph and his brothers, they sold him into slavery, which was a sin on their path, but the lord used that situation we see as sin to reveal his purpose in the life of Joseph and the Israelites. His brother’s purpose was to starve him to death, whereas God’s purpose was to use him as an instrument for providing for his people in the time of great famine.
God over ruled his brothers evil designs, because God almighty was with him, this comforted him during affliction. Because God lives, we can face tomorrow. It was this awareness that Joseph hard while he was in the pit, that comforted him.
It is important that no matter the situation we are in, no matter how terrible our lives might be, its important that we are able to take refuge in God and seek his comfort
Merely knowing that God is always present in our life is the comfort we need because our God loves us so much and wants the best for us. Even though he let’s us go through trials to increase our faith in him, his plans for us will always triumph over evil.
If God is with you, you will be comforted in whatever situation you find yourself.
Psalms 23:4 says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”. Psalm 23.4 shows us the promise of the lord to comfort us as long as he is present in our life
