Stephen Chandler Sermons Where Does Faith Come From: faith is knowing that God can and Jesus is able and Jesus has the name that is above all names. which means that anything that we can name is under the authority of Jesus, the mere fact that cancer has a name puts it under the authority of Jesus also care about us, the bible says we should cast our cares on him for he cares. 1st John 5 vs 14 says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us”.
Anything that God wants for us and we pray what he wants, it is guaranteed to be answered. The question is how can we tell that it is the will of God, and what he wants for us.
Jesus taught his disciples that faith does not come in sizes, its something that we either have or do not have. Mark 11:22-24 says “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”. when we ask God in faith, we have to ask without doubting because if we are double minded we would not receive from God. Stephen chandler tells us that unshakeable faith is peaceful, Thats how we know we have faith, Gods great peace will be with you and guard your heart. we should make our request to God in prayers thanksgiving and supplication.
