This is the day of reckoning. The judgment seat of Christ has arrived. As you stand before God, what will you say? Will you be found worthy to inherit eternal life? In this message, Pastor John teaches on how we can be prepared to face our Creator and receive a reward that lasts forever in heaven.
Standing Before God On Judgement Day
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (John 3:16-20).
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
- But the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (Jer. 23:28-29).
He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Everyone will be judged by God, both the good and the bad. But everyone will be judged on the day of judgement.
Everyone will be judged for their sins, no matter how small or big they may be. All sins are equal in the eyes of God.
Everyone will be judged for the things they have done during their lives, whether these things were good or bad deeds that were done by them (or even someone else).
Everyone will be judged for their beliefs as well as actions; so if you believe in Jesus Christ then say a prayer before you die because it is said that “If you can’t stand before God on your own two feet then get down on your knees and pray.”
But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
Every word you speak is recorded, and you will have to give an account for every word you speak.
“But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:3)
Jesus is the way to eternal life and heaven. He promises us that if we follow Him, He will take us there with Him when His Father calls Him home at the end of this world’s history.
Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!
The invitation to the marriage supper of the Lamb is a glorious promise, but it is not an easy one. It requires us to live as faithful servants and disciples of God in this world. We must be ready for judgment day, when we will be called on to give an account of our lives before him (Romans 14:12).
There are many things in this world that could distract us from this goal: wealth, power, fame—and even relationships with others who are not seeking the same glory as we are (Revelation 2:20). But if we want to receive Christ’s final reward on judgment day, then we must focus our attention on him alone (Matthew 6:24).
Receive your eternal inheritance by believing in Jesus Christ as your savior
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; he who does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s only begotten Son.” (John 3:18).
As a believer in Christ, you will receive your eternal inheritance. Your salvation from sin and condemnation comes as a free gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). You have been forgiven for all your sins because of what Jesus did on the cross.
No matter how long or short your life has been, you can rest assured that at death there will be no more suffering or pain for those who are believers in Jesus Christ and that they will spend eternity with Him in heaven.
It is important to remember that it is not your works that save you, but rather it is through faith in Jesus Christ. He came to earth as a man and died on the cross for our sins. The only way to receive eternal life is through His sacrifice and repentance from our sinful ways. God loves all people, even those who don’t know Him yet! I encourage you today as we end this article together: “Repent, and believe in the Gospel!”
