Spiritual Eyes Bible

Spiritual eyes are the eyes of the soul. They are not physical eyes, but they allow us to see beyond the natural world and into the spiritual realm. Jesus said that we must be born again (John 3:7) in order to see spiritual things as they really are. The truth of God’s Word opens our eyes to the treacherous lies of Satan, which hinder us from seeing ourselves as God sees us. Jesus’ life revealed to us the invisible truths of God, and these same truths make us new creatures in Christ. Through spiritual eyes that have been washed by the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26), we see how Jesus has made us righteous and holy in His sight. We can receive love, favor, and life-sustaining help from Him, because we are no longer bound by rules and regulations. We are free to be who we are–spiritual beings enjoying fellowship with a loving Father!

Spiritual Eyes Bible

The Bible is a spiritual book. It is a book of life, love, hope, peace and joy. In this passage we see the disciples talking about what they have been experiencing lately with Jesus as they walk along side him on their way to Jerusalem. They had seen many miracles and wonders in their time with Jesus so it would not be surprising if they were feeling pretty good about themselves as well as their situation right now.

It’s important to note that Jesus doesn’t dispute or argue with them at all over this issue; he simply says “Blessed are your eyes because they see…” (Matthew 13:16) and then continues by saying “for I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it…” (Matthew 13:17).

Understand the Truth of God’s Word

As you read the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth and help you understand what He wants to reveal to you.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6). When we allow God’s Word to become a part of us—through prayer, meditation and study—we open our spiritual eyes so that we can discern truth from falsehood in our lives.

When we walk in step with Jesus Christ Himself, our hearts are filled with love for Him and His people; then we will be able to discern another person’s motives more accurately.

Conclusion

This is the truth about our spiritual eyes. Jesus came to us with a new way of seeing, and He wants us to be free from lies that have been holding us back from experiencing His love and all its blessings. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity!
