Sing A New Song Unto The Lord

Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and with equity shall he judge the people.

Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth

  • Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth:
  • Sing unto God, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
  • For God is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Sing a new song unto the Lord: sing unto the Lord a new song. Sing unto the Lord, all the earth: sing unto the Lord, praise ye him and magnify him for ever.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands together: let the hills be joyful together before the presence of Jehovah; for he cometh to judge all nations with equity, and those that remain will obey his instruction.

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

The earth is joyful when God acts. It rejoices when he judges and chastens his people, for it is only in this way that he reveals himself as their sovereign Lord. The earth also sings with joy when praise is given to God from the ends of the earth through his servants who have been called by him to serve him in this way. And that’s what we are going to do today: sing new songs unto the Lord!
