Prayer For My Brother

Brother, I have always loved you. When you were born, and when I held your tiny body for the first time, I fell in love with you. Now that you are gone, I still love you. You were my brother and best friend; we shared so many moments together. There was never a time when I didn’t know how much our family loved and cherished you. Though we’ve lost you, we will never forget how bravely and heroically you fought through illness until the very end. You left us too soon but will always be remembered as an angel who touched our lives forever

Prayer For My Brother

When my brother was born.

At the time, I was only six years old and had no idea what it meant to be a brother. But before long, you were there to show me.

You were always willing to help out with household chores or play games with me when Mom and Dad needed a break from their busy day. Through it all, though—whether we were playing together or just watching TV—I could always feel your presence by my side. I knew that if I ever needed anything, you would be there for me because that’s what brothers do: they take care of each other in every way possible even when they are separated by miles or oceans between them.

It sounds like an exaggeration but I can confidently say that having you as my older brother has made me into who I am today because without all those memories we shared growing up together, who knows where either one of us would be now?

A prayer for my brother who I miss every single day.

Dear God,

Please hear my prayer for my brother who I miss every single day. He has been sick for a long time and he is in pain. Please heal him from his suffering and give him strength to carry on. Heal his body and mind so that he can continue to grow as a person and help others along the way. Help me learn how to be patient with him as he recovers from this illness; please teach me how to be kind when we are together again someday soon! Amen

A childhood memory of my brother.

For a brother that has always been there for me.

For a brother that has always been there for me.

You’re the best big brother anyone could ask for, and I love you so much. I’ve always looked out for you and have always been there for you when you needed me most. Even when it was hard to tell if your life would improve or get worse with each passing day, I stayed by your side because I saw something good in your heart—and although it took some time, eventually my faith was rewarded as well. You are now living a wonderful life far away from what we both experienced as children growing up with an alcoholic mother who did not care about us at all. Still today, though we are separated by distance, I see how well-adjusted and successful in life (and marriage) my brother has become…and it’s all due to his motto: “No matter what happens…I will survive!”

To the brother I’ve lost, but will never forget.

Dear brother,

You’re gone. I know this because I was there when you took your last breath and you never came back. You were supposed to be here forever, but now the only way we can see each other is in our hearts and minds.

I will never forget the times we had together growing up—the good ones, like when Mom let us stay up late and watch TV until midnight while she did laundry; or the bad ones, like when Dad yelled at you for coming home from school late because of detention again.

I will always love you because no matter what happened between us in life (and there were some heated arguments), all that matters now is that we had each other for these past 26 years on Earth—even if only for a short time. And even though knowing this hurts more than anything else ever has or ever could again—I know it was worth every single painful moment just knowing what it felt like to have my brother by my side in this world for all those years before he left me behind forever just yesterday evening…

The moment when we both knew our lives would change forever.

The moment when we both knew our lives would change forever.

The moment when we both knew our lives would never be the same.

Now it’s time to use your courage once more.

In the world of writing and publishing, it’s easy to be afraid. There are so many unknowns, so much uncertainty and doubt—and we often feel like we don’t have enough information to make decisions.

But you know what? You’ll never know until you try. And if at first your intention is to make sure that no one gets hurt in the process, then that’s okay too: sometimes it takes courage just to show up for something new with the best intentions and an open heart. But if there’s anything I’ve learned from being a writer myself, it’s this: when you write something because it matters deeply to you (or even because of some crazy idea that popped into your head), people will find their way there—just like they did with A Reason To Believe!

So what are these next steps? Well…they’re going to take some time and energy…but they’ll also take courage! And they might not always go according to plan (because sometimes plans don’t work out). But if I’ve learned anything in my life thus far (both personally and professionally), it’s that when things get tough or scary or uncertain about our futures as writers…it doesn’t mean we should stop dreaming big dreams for ourselves! It just means we need to use our bravery once more 🙂

For the strength you need to carry on.

  • Pray for the strength you need to carry on.

The best prayers are heartfelt and genuine.

Prayers are not just words that you say. They are a way of communicating with God and showing him how grateful you are for all he has done. You can also pray when you need help or guidance, or when you want to express your love for God.

Prayers are typically short, but they don’t have to be—you can pray as long as it feels right for you. The most important thing about prayer is that it feels genuine and heartfelt; if there’s any doubt in your mind about whether your words are sincere enough, then perhaps now is not the time to be praying at all!
