Powerful Prayers For My Struggling Son

Lord, my son is struggling and I am hurting. I know you want to give me the desires of my heart. Please help me as I seek your perfect will in all that concerns him. That he would remember who he is and Whose he is. That his purpose would become clear to him, and that he would have a deep desire to pursue it with all his heart. Please remind him that his thoughts are not Your thoughts; neither are Your ways His ways (Isaiah 55:8). And please help me be a parent who trusts You for the outcome of raising him, even when it feels like I’m failing miserably at it (and there are times when it does!). Thank you for loving him more than anyone else ever could!

Powerful Prayers For My Struggling Son

    1. Lord, I have a child who is struggling and needs your help.

Dear God, I admit that I’m scared and confused. My son has been struggling for a long time and now he’s in jail. Please help me understand what this means, what to do and how to be strong for him during this difficult time.

I pray that you will protect him from harm and keep his heart focused on you so that he can have hope in his future. You know the reason why my son is acting out and doing things that hurt himself or others. Help me find a way to show love without enabling him in his destructive habits and actions.

I ask for your guidance for me as I navigate all of these changes; this could be an opportunity for growth if we allow it! Give us some peace through these difficult times so that we can get through them together as family members who love each other unconditionally

    Dear Lord,

I come to you with a heavy heart. My son is struggling and I am afraid for him. He has been sad for many years now and it is time for him to start feeling joy in his life again. Please help me find the right words to say when he gets upset or angry or sad so that he will know how sorry I am for what happened between us. Please help me understand what it feels like from his perspective so that I don’t make things worse by saying something hurtful during an argument between us. And please help me not hold on to too many grudges about the past because I don’t want those things keeping me from having the relationship with my son that we both deserve!
