Powerful Prayers For My Struggling Son

Lord, my son is struggling and I am hurting. I know you want to give me the desires of my heart. Please help me as I seek your perfect will in all that concerns him. That he would remember who he is and Whose he is. That his purpose would become clear to him, and that he would have a deep desire to pursue it with all his heart. Please remind him that his thoughts are not Your thoughts; neither are Your ways His ways (Isaiah 55:8). And please help me be a parent who trusts You for the outcome of raising him, even when it feels like I’m failing miserably at it (and there are times when it does!). Thank you for loving him more than anyone else ever could!

Powerful Prayers For My Struggling Son

1. Lord, I have a child who is struggling and needs your help.

Dear God, I admit that I’m scared and confused. My son has been struggling for a long time and now he’s in jail. Please help me understand what this means, what to do and how to be strong for him during this difficult time.

I pray that you will protect him from harm and keep his heart focused on you so that he can have hope in his future. You know the reason why my son is acting out and doing things that hurt himself or others. Help me find a way to show love without enabling him in his destructive habits and actions.

I ask for your guidance for me as I navigate all of these changes; this could be an opportunity for growth if we allow it! Give us some peace through these difficult times so that we can get through them together as family members who love each other unconditionally

2. God in heaven, my son is having such a hard time right now.

Dear God in heaven, my son is having such a hard time right now. He’s just a kid, and he doesn’t understand why his dad left us. I feel so powerless to help him through this time. Please help my son learn that he can be happy again, even if his father isn’t with us anymore. Please guide him on the path of righteousness and show him what it means to be strong despite sadness or pain. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray, Amen

3. Dear Heavenly Father, I am coming to you today to ask for your divine intervention with my son.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am coming to you today to ask for your divine intervention with my son. He is struggling with addiction and depression. 4. Lord, I come to you with a heavy heart.

Dear Lord,

I come to you with a heavy heart. My son is struggling and I am afraid for him. He has been sad for many years now and it is time for him to start feeling joy in his life again. Please help me find the right words to say when he gets upset or angry or sad so that he will know how sorry I am for what happened between us. Please help me understand what it feels like from his perspective so that I don’t make things worse by saying something hurtful during an argument between us. And please help me not hold on to too many grudges about the past because I don’t want those things keeping me from having the relationship with my son that we both deserve!

5. Lord, I need your strength and guidance to help me parent this child.

My child is struggling, Lord. I need your strength and guidance to help me parent this child. Please guide me in how to handle him through his trials. I know that you love him as much as I do, but he needs a father’s love and consistency now more than ever. Help me be a good example for him and show him how to live for you in the midst of adversity.

Please heal the wounds of their past, and allow them to live longer. Please provide comfort for those who have been affected by this situation; give them strength and courage so they can rise above it all as well. And finally, I pray for my son/daughter’s friends—that they will find peace from this ordeal and also be able to move forward with faith in You at the forefront of their minds!

I pray that you will give me the strength and endurance to continue on this journey with him.

I need to remember that it’s not always about what he does or doesn’t do—it’s about how he feels about himself.

He needs to know that he’s loved and cared for by all of us in his family who love him very much.
