Powerful Prayers For All Saints’ Day

On All Saints’ Day, we pray to have a deep and abiding faith in God and the saints. We pray for all those who have suffered, lost their lives, or passed away as a result of COVID-19. We pray for our loved ones who are no longer with us and ask that they rest in peace. This prayer is especially dedicated to those who have died due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Powerful Prayers For All Saints’ Day

    1. Dear Lord,

    Dear Lord,

Thank you for listening. Thank you for being our Lord and Savior. Thank you for being our God and Father. Thank you for being our guide and protector. We are grateful that we can talk to you any time of the day or night, in times of joy or sorrow, with a single thought or prayer in mind – knowing that You will always be there to listen and respond to our needs.

    2. Heavenly Father,

    Heavenly Father,

Please forgive me for my sins. Please help me to be more like Jesus, the perfect Son of God and your son. Guide me in my life and show me how to live according to your will. Give me the strength to do what is right even when it is difficult or painful. Help me to have peace in my heart so that I will not let anger or bitterness take over my life again. Give me wisdom in all things, especially those that concern the welfare of myself and others around me who are important people in my life right now–family members, friends, coworkers, or neighbors–and those whom I may know later on down the road as well! In addition please grant this special day with all its celebrations a special blessing from you above us; we ask this because it means so much more than just another holiday weekend celebration; instead it celebrates those who lived their lives serving others through Christ-like service which makes them worthy of remembrance each year.”

    3. God of all creation,

God of all creation, you know that we are made in your image. You have given us the gift of life and brought us into the family of man. In the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, we pray for all those who have died in faith and grace. We ask that they be remembered by you even after their physical form has returned to dust. We thank you for their service to God, their country, and their families; and we pray that they will rest well in Your presence until they rise again on Judgment Day.

    4. Almighty God,

In the name of God, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and forgiving, who created the universe and every single soul within it.

I ask that you help me to understand your power better. Help me to realize that my life is in your hands—and not in those of others or myself—so that I may learn how to be a better person by following your guidance rather than my own impulses. I know that this might sound like a lot for one prayer request but please hear me out: I want so badly for everyone else around me to feel loved by you as much as they deserve but I’m afraid they won’t unless I lead them towards understanding just how amazing and powerful you are! Please take control over my tongue (and maybe even my fingers) because words can hurt people so much more than sticks or stones sometimes (although sometimes sticks and stones can hurt too).

I pray especially hard today because tomorrow is All Saints’ Day; a day when we remember those beloved saints who have gone before us into eternal life with Christ our Lord! Through their example, we learn how important it is to show love toward others while they’re still here on earth with us.”

    5. Our Father in heaven,

    • Pray for the dead
    • Pray for the living
    • Pray for the Church
    • Pray for the world
    • Pray for the Pope
    • Pray for the clergy
    • Pray for the laity
    • For all those who have fallen asleep before us, that they may be freed of every hindrance and enjoy perfect happiness with God forever; let us pray.
    • For ourselves, that we may be worthy of such a great mystery; let us pray.

    6. Lord I come before You today to give You all the honor and praise that is due to Your great name.

The Lord is the King of kings, the Lord is the Savior of all who call upon Him.

Jesus Christ has redeemed us from sin and death.

When you pray to Jesus, you are praying to the One who bore your sins on the cross and canceled them forever (Colossians 2:13-14). When you worship Him, you honor Him with all that He has done for you.

The great name of our God is YHWH—Yahweh—Hebrew for “I AM,” which indicates His immutability or eternal existence (Exodus 3:14).

    7. Awesome God,

    Awesome God,

You are awesome. You are great. You are powerful and good, merciful, just, and faithful. You created us and sustain us in this world with all its trials. Help us to know that we can face life’s challenges because of who we are and what you’ve done for us through Jesus Christ our Lord!

    8. Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

    Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

You are the only way to God. You are the only one who can save us. You are the only one who can forgive our sins and bring peace and joy into our lives.

    9. Precious Lord Jesus,

This prayer is a reminder of the reality that Jesus Christ is God, who came to earth as a man and lived among us. He was born in Bethlehem and lived in Nazareth with his parents, Joseph and Mary. He was baptized by John the Baptist; called his first disciples; healed the sick; taught about loving-kindness, peace, and justice for all people; worked miracles such as raising Lazarus from the dead and walking on water. He spoke out against injustice when he saw it—and he died on a cross at Calvary because he believed so strongly in love for all humanity.

    10. Thank you for hearing my prayer.

The saints are a powerful reminder of the grace of Christ, whom we meet in the Eucharist. They are also an example to us, showing how to live our faith as disciples of Jesus Christ. When we pray for them, they pray for us and intercede with God’s mercy on our behalf.

Prayer is an important way that we can express gratitude to God, who has given us so much through his love and grace. It is also important because it helps us grow closer to Jesus Christ through prayerful conversation with him (Catechism #26).

The sacraments are signs that reveal divine life within us (Catechism #1136). They are ways for us to encounter God directly by receiving his grace through them when we receive them worthily (catechism #1324-1325). The sacraments help us grow closer to others because they bind people together in a spiritual community; they are “the privileged place where Christian communities share their own life” (General Instruction of the Roman Missal).
