Who is Phil Munsey? Phil Munsey is an American pastor, public speaker and author. He pastors at The Lakewood Church Houston Texas where he also serves as the Chairman of the Champions Network of Churches with Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church. He is also the founder of Life Church, which he pastored for 30 years.

Pastor Munsey was born on the 18th of August 1956 in Munster, Indiana into a strong Christian home, consequent upon which he had a very strong Christian background. Accordingly, he is 65 years old presently and will complete 66 Years old on the 18 August 2022.

Pastor Phil parents are Bishop Frank Munsey and Ruth Munsey. He is the second born child of the parents. His parents founded the Family Christian Center in the 1950s which is today being headed and led by Pastor Phil Munsey’s older brother, in the person of Pastor Steve Munsey.
At 17, the preacher understood it was his destiny to preach. Munsey began his ministry career as an intern at his father’s church and studied theology via correspondence at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. They quickly invited him to lead youngsters in other churches, from Stockton to Alexandria, Louisiana, and Columbus, Ohio, eventually having him preach at 11 different churches.

Pastor Munsey is happily married to Pastor Jeanie Munsey previously known as Jeanie Caffey who is a Christian artist. The duo met while Pastor Phil was serving as a youth pastor in Detroit. upon discovering between themselves that they are compatible, they tied the marital knot on April 8, 1978 .
Phil Munsey’s wife Jeannie Munsey is a professional interior decorator, a worship leader, and a published songwriter. She graduated from high school at 16 and then moved away to pursue her B.A. in music. They eventually awarded an honorary doctorate in music and pastoral ministry to her.
Sequel to their marriage, the the couples relocated to Orange County.
Children
The marriage of Phil and Jeannie Munsey is blessed with 3 children named Kara Bisel, Phillip Bisel, and Andrew Bisel . They also have three grandchildren.
Kara and her husband, Douglas Bisel, are both preachers at the Life Church. She is also the host of an apple podcast called “The Unscripted Mom”.

Munsey preached his first sermon from the Lord’s Prayer in his Huntington Beach in-laws’ living room in 1985. The group comprised 11 people.

Pastor Munsey and his wife Jeannie were part of the founders of Life Church in Irvine, California. They statred the building of their church through moving from location to location across south Orange County on Sunday.
