Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon today: Hope Is Not Gone

Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon today Hope Is Not Gone : Pastor Steven Furtick in his effort towards the spread of the gospel and ensuring immense spiritual growth and development of people worldwide shares this sermon titled: “Hope Is Not Gone” .

In this sermon, Pastor Furtick teaches that even in the face of  unmet expectations, it’s possible to hold onto hope. He further admonished us all npot to give up when things get hard/difficult. This is an excerpt from “Round Trip Resurrection.”

Speaking further, the senior pastor of Elevation Church made reference to Luke 24:21 which says , But we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel, and what is more, it is the third day since all these took place.

People bank on things like we had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel. We had hoped, but now we’re headed home. Had hoped that it was going to be different this time. We had hoped that He was going to break our chains. Had hoped that God was going to heal our disease. We had hope that God was going to take the addiction away. Hoped that if we prayed, we would get the peace that corresponded with the prayer, but it’s over now. We had hoped.

We look forward to it, but we’re headed home now because He hung on the cross and we hung our hope on the cross
and now we don’t know anything else to do, but to head home. And we’re headed home because we don’t have any hope left. As they are headed home with no hope, hope shows up. But, they can’t see it. They’re headed home with no hope.

Steven Furtick further stated that he doesn’t blame them for going home because what else are you going to do?  What else are you going to do but go home if the one who was supposed to be the king, hung on a cross and wore a crown of thorns? I mean life can hit you that hard.

The summary of this sermon is that we should never give up on our hopes, no matter how difficult things get. Our God will surely come to our aid. Most times when we give up is always  when the help is near. We can imagine praying and hoping for something for years only to give up the day or week the miracle was designed to happen. God has never and will never fail. God timing ios different from that of man. Above all, his time is the best.

When God shows up, something mavelous is definitely going to happen.
