SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 58:10–11, NIV- If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

When you have a cause, you’ll believe that you can accomplish what seems impossible and overcome what looks insurmountable. Find your cause. Fight for someone who can’t fight for themselves. Get involved in something bigger than you. That’s where your crown is. That’s where your greatness is going to come out.

David could have been satisfied in the shepherds’ fields. He could have been satisfied with an ordinary life. “I don’t want to get out of my comfort zone. I want to stay where it’s safe. There are huge giants out there.” Safe is not your destiny. Average is not what you’re called to be. Take on some giants. Believe to advance the Kingdom, to set new standards. God didn’t give you the talent, the personality, and the courage you have just to go to work, make a living, and feed your family. You were created for a cause. You are gifted for a cause. You are healthy for a cause. You have influence and are anointed for a cause. Don’t just build your kingdom; build God’s Kingdom.

Get involved in making a difference. Where are some giants you can bring down? Where are some people you can lift up? There’s nothing worse than coming to the end of life and realizing you never saw your crown. You never took your throne. It wasn’t in the average or in the routine; it was in the cause. It was in doing something out of the ordinary, getting involved in something that wasn’t about you. It was in making your neighborhood better, blessing a coworker, bringing down a Goliath. That’s when you’ll see your crown.

God sees when you serve others and make sacrifices. He sees you helping when nobody is giving you the credit—getting up early to pick up a friend, cooking an extra meal for a neighbor, spending your vacation serving at an orphanage. He sees how you attend and support a ministry, how you volunteer and serve in the community. A lot of times, it’s on your day off. You could be doing something for yourself, but you’re investing in others. Get ready. Your crown is coming. You’ve been fighting for others; now God is about to fight for you. The crown is going to come out of the cause. You’re going to see doors open that you never dreamed would open. You’re going to see favor, influence, and opportunity; and it’s all because you fought for someone else. You got involved in something bigger than yourself.

Dear God, I am grateful for the dreams and goals You have given me, but I also recognize the importance of being part of something greater than myself. Guide me to opportunities where I can use my time, energy, and resources to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Help me to fight alongside them as they face their giants, to mentor those who need guidance, and to provide care and support to those who are sick or struggling. I know that by investing in others, I am aligning myself with Your divine purpose for my life. Just as David’s triumph over Goliath led him to the throne, I trust that standing with others in their battles will open new doors to my own destiny. Thank You, Father, for the privilege of being a vessel of Your love. May my actions bring glory to Your name, and may I always remember that my purpose extends beyond myself. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
