Night Prayer for today Monday January 30 2023 : To God who gave today and also made it possible for us to go through the day and come to its end, we say thank you Lord.
Just like it is important to start your day with God, it is also very important to end it with God. Tonight, let us sing praises to God, let us thank him for all he has done, all he is doing and all he will still do and then commit into his able hands, our body, soul and spirit as we sleep.

Prayer of thanksgiving
Heavenly Father,
We come before you today with thankful hearts. We are so grateful for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us. We are thankful for the abundance of food on our tables, for the shelter of our homes, and for the joy of our families and friends.
We thank you for your protection, for your guidance, and for your love. We thank you for the provision of our daily needs, for the provision of health and healing, and for the provision of joy and peace in our lives.
We thank you for the many opportunities you have given us to serve others and to make a difference in our communities.
Bless us, Lord, and help us to cherish each day and to use our resources in a way that honors you. Thank you for being our constant companion and friend.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer for Mercy
Loving God,
Your mercy is vast and abounding. We come to you today asking for your mercy and grace. May we receive your healing and your peace as we seek to do your will.
Help us to show mercy to others, even when it is difficult to do so. Give us the strength to remember that you are a God of mercy and that our actions should reflect that.
Forgive us for all the times we have failed to show mercy and compassion to those around us. Remind us that our mercy should not be based on what we can get out of it, but out of our deep love for you.
As we start this week, help us to stay focused on your mercy and grace. May we walk in your ways and show mercy to others, just as you have shown to us.

Prayer for Protection as we sleep tonight
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for another day and another night, and for the blessing of a peaceful sleep.
We ask that you would be our shield and our defender, as we rest in your loving care.
Keep us safe from any danger or harm that may come our way while we are asleep.
We ask that you would surround us with your angels, that they may protect us from any evil that may be lurking in the darkness.
We pray that you would fill us with your peace, that we may sleep in comfort and security.
Above all, help us Oh Lord to sleep in peace and rise in Joy to sing your praise and know you more.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 23:1-6
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
