    Morning Devotion for today Tuesday April 4 2023 : Good morning, and welcome to this time of devotion. Let us begin by taking a deep breath and focusing our hearts and minds on God.

    Today is a new day, filled with new opportunities and new challenges. As we begin this day, let us remember that we are not alone. God is with us, and He has promised to guide us and sustain us through whatever may come.

    In the book of Lamentations, we read these words: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). What a beautiful reminder that God’s love and mercy are new every morning! No matter what happened yesterday, no matter what mistakes we may have made, today is a fresh start.

    Let us take a moment to confess our sins and ask for God’s forgiveness. Lord, we confess that we have fallen short of your glory. We have sinned in thought, word, and deed, and we ask for your mercy and forgiveness. Wash us clean, Lord, and renew us by your Spirit.

    Now, let us turn to the Word of God. Today, I would like to share a passage from the Gospel of Matthew. In chapter 6, Jesus teaches his disciples about prayer. He begins by saying, “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:5-6).

    What a powerful reminder that prayer is not about impressing others or seeking attention for ourselves. Prayer is about connecting with God, who sees and hears us even when no one else does. When we pray, we are not just reciting words or going through the motions. We are engaging with the living God, who desires to have a relationship with us.

    Jesus goes on to teach his disciples the Lord’s Prayer, which we can pray together now:

    Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

    As we go about our day, let us remember that we are children of God, loved and cherished by our Heavenly Father. May we seek to honor Him in all that we do, and may we trust in His faithfulness and goodness.

    Let us close with a prayer. Lord, we thank you for this time of devotion. We ask that you would help us to keep our hearts and minds focused on you throughout the day. May we be a light in the darkness, showing your love and grace to all those we encounter. Bless us, guide us, and protect us, we pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Morning Prayer for today Tuesday April 4 2023 :

    Almighty and Eternal Living God, We come before you on this Tuesday, April 4th, 2023, with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of another day. We thank you for your love, your grace, and your mercy which sustain us each day.

    As we begin this day, we ask that you guide our steps and give us the wisdom and strength to face any challenges that come our way. We pray that you would bless us with the ability to be productive and efficient in all that we do today, and that we would be able to accomplish all that we need to do with joy and enthusiasm.

    Lord, we ask that you help us to be patient with ourselves and with others today. May we be slow to anger and quick to forgive, and may we show love and compassion to all those we encounter. Help us to be kind and gracious, even in difficult circumstances.

    We pray for your protection over us and our loved ones as we go about our day. We ask that you would watch over us and keep us safe from harm and danger. We pray for your healing touch for those who are sick, and for your comfort for those who are hurting.

    Father, we lift up our leaders and those in authority over us. We ask that you would give them wisdom, discernment, and integrity as they make decisions that affect our lives. May they be guided by your truth and your love.

    We pray for our families and friends, that they may feel your love and your presence in their lives. May they be blessed with good health, peace, and prosperity. Help us to be a source of encouragement and support to them, and may we lift them up in prayer throughout the day.

    Lord, we also ask that you help us to stay focused on you throughout this day. May we be mindful of your presence in our lives, and may we rely on you for strength and guidance. May we trust in your goodness and your faithfulness, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

    Thank you, Lord, for your grace and your mercy, which are new every morning. We give you all the glory and honor for the blessings of this day, and we pray that you would be glorified in all that we do. May our lives be a reflection of your love and your goodness to those around us.

    In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
