Life is full of battles. Going through life there are many challenges and hurdles to overcome, if one must live a life of dominion which the Lord has promised His own children. However, to overcome you can’t fold your hands and mope. Rather, you must swing into action, by faith, and constant communion with God through His word and fervent prayers.

Many men and women have had to go through troubles at different stages of life looking forward to victory in God. Others are going through theirs even now. Often, he human strength is never enough and you end achieving nothing, except one abides in the Lord. The Bible says, vain is the help of man; some trust in horses and some in horses but they failed woefully. But those who trust in the name of the Lord shall overcome and remain standing by the power of God (Psalm 20:7-8)

Pharaoh failed with all his battle strategies and prowess, God outplayed him, his horsemen and their chariots. They all rushed furiously after God’s children but perished in the Red Sea which closed up on them and swallow them forever. What of Goliath, the Philistine giant and warrior who boasted and intimidated the army of Israel for so long, so much that they became weary for fear. In spite of his huge armour, the little boy David came with the unseen armour of God, but visible was his sling and five pebbles as a shepherd boy.

Amazingly, armed with God’s power, cloaked in the might of the Lord God of Israel, he brought down this harassing and tormenting enemy with just one stone of fire. So shall your enemies be subdued in the name of Jesus.

This tells us that to receive the strength and power to overcome life battles as a Christian, it must be from the Lord who is forever our Strength and Refuge; every time and everywhere. He knows our weaknesses and frailties, hence He’s forever available to uphold and sustain us at times of difficulties by His valiant power that never fails. He gives strength to the weak. It doesn’t matter what your situation is. God is ever ready to strengthen and support you all the way.

Surrender your life, your battles and your struggles to God today. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. When He takes over, you can go to rest and rejoice because He has conquered on your behalf. Be armed with the Word of God, it is the sword of the Spirit for Christians. Get ready to pray all kinds of prayers without fainting and you’ll disarm your adversaries. When you start to praise God, He will lay ambush for your enemies like He did in 2 Chronicles 20.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Holy Spirit empower me to fight and conquer on the battlefield of life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Satanic agenda to weaken my spiritual strength, fail woefully, in the name of Jesus.
3. I receive uncommon weapon from the Lord to fight against my adversaries and conquer, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. O God arise and be my Strength where I am weak, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father Lord, in an uncommon way declare war against the enemy of my soul, in the name of Jesus.
6. I receive uncommon divine battle strategies to put my enemies to flight, in the name of Jesus.
7. In the name of Jesus, I am more than a Conqueror.
