SCRIPTURE: “Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.” – Matthew 10:31

In Matthew 10:30-31, Jesus said that God is aware of everything that happens even to sparrows, and you are far more valuable to Him than the sparrows. If this is so, why are you fearful? God placed great values on you. Therefore, you do not fear anything like personal threat or difficult trials.

Let us examine why people exhibit fear. The first reason is that when people entertain doubt in their hearts, fear creeps into their lives. In Matthew 14: 25-31, we read what doubt did to Peter. As long as he kept his focus on Christ, he could do the impossible, but the moment he began to walk by sight, fear gripped him. He started to sink because he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the high waves around him. His faith wavered when he realised what he was doing. Beloved. you may not walk on water, but could be walking through tough situations. If you focus on the waves of difficult circumstances around you without looking to Christ for help, you too may despair and sink. To maintain your faith when situations are difficult, keep your eyes on Christ’s power rather than on your inadequacies. When you are afraid, look unto Jesus. Remember that He is the only One who can help you when everything or everybody fails you. He alone is the One who will never fail.

The second reason why people exhibit fear is criticism. Many people are afraid to live their dreams for fear of what others may think or say about them. Beloved, to achieve your positive dreams, you have to desist from what people think or say about you; rather, focus on what God says about you.

1. I destroy every root of doubt in my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Power draining the blood of my faith, die, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Faith killer assigned against me, die, in the name of Jesus Christ.

EVENING

4. Powers of anxiety and worry in my life, die, in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. Lord Jesus, uphold me with Your right hand of mercy, in the name of Jesus.
6. Lord, let Your word dwell in me richly, in the name of Jesus.
7. Evil dominion over my life, expire now, in the name of Jesus.
