    Louie Giglio is an American pastor, author, father,  and public speaker; he founded the Passion Movement and is the lead pastor of The Passion City Church, which is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Louie Giglio’s Started his ministry after he graduated from the seminary he started his ministry with his wife Shelley; they started at Baylor University with a weekly bible study program called choice.

    Louie and his wife were also members of the North Point Community Church for a long time, and then one fine day, Louie firmly decided that he wanted to move forward with his journey as a pastor.

    In 1997, after moving from Texas to Atlanta, he started the Passion Conferences, which is a national gathering of College Students. The first conference was held in 1997 at Austin, Texas with about 2000 college students in attendance and has been hosted around the country ever since. According to Wikipedia, Passion’s annual conferences attract around 50,000 participants. Every year, the conference invites prominent Christian speakers and musical artists.

    A lot of famous and blessed preachers are a huge part of passion conferences, they are normally involved in speaking, they include, Louie Giglio, the founder of Passion, John Piper, Francis Chan, Andy Stanley, Judah Smith, Christine Caine, Carl Lentz, Beth Moore, Lecrae, Gary Haugen, Ravi Zacharias, Matt Chandler, Levi Lusko, Jay and Katherine Wolf, authors of the book “Hope Heals” and Ben Stuart.

    The passion conferences also have The Passion Band; it is a worship branch of the Passion Conferences. They make contemporary Music and have a record of about 28 albums in over twenty years; most of the albums are live albums that were recorded during live performances and tours.

    Another branch of the Passion Conference is the “Do Something Now Fundraising Campaign”. The fundraising was later renamed 72 For Freedom; the objective of this campaign is to encourage participants in the Passion Conferences to donate to Charity.

    In the year 2013 the passion Conferences launched a new campaign, called “End It Now Movement.” The end it now movement is a campaign for anti-human trafficking and $3.6 million was raised and donated to different charity organizations fighting the cause.

    In the year 2008, Louie Giglio built the Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The first service of the church was held on February 15, 2009.

    There are some controversies that are associated with Pastor Louie Giglio

    • In 2013, Louie Giglio withdrew from giving the benediction during Obama’s second Inauguration because it became known that he had in a sermon in the 1990s urged Christians to oppose the Gay Rights movement.
    • In 2020, in an interview with Dan Cathy Chick-fil-A CEO and rapper Lecrae on racism, Pastor Giglio made the suggestion that Americans replace the phrase “white privilege” with “white blessing”. According to him  “blessing of slavery” had built up the framework for the world that white people live in. However Pastor Louie Giglio tearfully apologised after replacing the term “white privilege” with “white blessing” during a roundtable discussion on racism Sunday.
