Lisa and Ed have four amazing children, and five lovely grandchildren. However, they lost their eldest child Lee Beth in 2021. LeeBeth their first daughter died on the 18 January 2021 when she was 34 years old. Their daughter LeeBeth died as a result of depression, which resulted, to binge drinking, even though she was not the type to ordinarily drink. She had a seizure and she didn’t recover from it, her family sang worship songs after the doctor told them there was nothing they could further do for her.
MINISTRY
Lisa was the Program Coordinator of Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, before her marriage to Dr.Ed Young. She served as the coordinator and director of the Bible Study program that touches more than 13,000 lives per week on five different campuses. She was also involved in staff training, and supervision to church wide special events and conferences. She also provides leadership and direction for Second Baptist School, which has more than 1,000 students, Kindergarten -12th grade.
In 1978, her husband Dr. Young asked her to become the High School Director at Second Baptist, a position she filled for several years.
Pastor Young has a special passion for guiding women, to help them grow in their understanding of who God is and how much God loves them.
