JOYCE MEYER MESSAGE GOD PART AND OUR PART : God’s in control, he does what he pleases and he even determines whether or not we’re going to get to do what we’ve planned to do, you ever try to do something, it just doesn’t work out, you try to do it again, it just doesn’t work out, well you know some of us aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed but after about four or five go rounds of that we ought to get it, i don’t think God wants me to do this.
James 4:13-15 says, come now, you who say today or tomorrow we’ll go into such-and-such a city and spend a year there and carry on our business and make money, yet you don’t know the least thing about what may happen tomorrow, what is the nature of your life, you are really but a wisp of vapour, a puff of smoke, a mist that’s visible for a little while and then disappears into thin air, you ought instead to say if the lord is willing, we shall live and do this thing.
There is this sovereign will of God that we’ve talked about and i hope for the amount of time I’ve had that I’ve made it clear that if God sovereignly declares and decrees something, nothing is going to keep it from happening but then there’s this other whole area that gets a little bit more difficult for us to understand sometimes and that’s the permissive will of God.
It means that God permits things that aren’t right and it’s very frustrating and hard for us to understand but we know that God could do something but he’s not and in the midst of that we’re supposed to be believing that God loves us and he’s got a good plan for our lives and that’s hard when you’re hurting so bad.
Joyce Meyer said, it’s easy to talk about minus the pain but when you’ve got the pain, you know there’s no kind of pain worse than emotional pain, I’ll take physical pain any day over a broken heart, it’s hard to understand but that’s where we take our medicine and we trust God and do good we trust God and do good, we trust God and we keep doing what’s right.
Every time you’ll come out on top, every time you’ll come out a winner, God’s given people free will now another thing that I believe that God does sometimes and I don’t know what you’ll think about this but I’ve experienced this in my life and well really I mean I could go to several scriptures and prove it to you but I don’t have time to do all that, I believe that sometimes God backs off and gives us what we want, it’s not his perfect will but he’s like okay if you really think that’s what you want, then I’m going to permit you to have it. Sometimes that’s the only way that we ever learn that God’s ways really are after all better than ours and that he really was right to start with.
