Joseph Prince sermon Are You Frustrating The Favour Of God? : What ever is not of faith is of sin, but because of Jesus, sin does not define us finally, but a super abounding grace does. we can increase our faith not by doing more but by, seeing more. pastor Joseph Prince teaches us that, the first time a word is seen in the bible, it has a significance. Genesis 6 vs. 8 says, “But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord”.
We can find more grace by resting in the lord. The more you rest in the lord, the more grace abounds. resting in the lord simply means when there is a problem in your life an you choose to let go it and allow the lord handle it. The bible also says that, God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. however being humble is not a qualification of grace, it is simply realising that you can do nothing. the proud man says he can do everything, he despises others and sees himself as the best and claims he needs no one until he eventually realises that he needs someone.
When Jesus healed a man on sabbath day, the Pharisees came to him and asked him why, he replied them saying “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does”. thats was humility in its purest form, if Jesus can be this humble, how much more us? we need to like Jesus, hand it all to God and rest. Jesus life is a posture of rest, the more he rested, the more Jesus rested the more the grace and favour of God flowed.
