READ John Hagee Daily Devotional December 22 2022:

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Jesus’ earthly journey began like any other infant’s life. He was born of a woman, naked and helpless like every baby. This speaks to us of Christ’s humanity.

As He grew, He wept like we weep. He experienced the same sorts of impulses we do. He endured scandal and heartbreak. His birth was questioned. He was persecuted for His religious beliefs. He was acquainted with racial hatred as a Jew living in a Roman Gentile world. He suffered betrayal at the hands of His friends.

He knew injustice. When Pontius Pilate exclaimed, “I find no fault in this Man,” the trial should have ended according to Roman law. Pilate was not seeking the truth; he was attempting to appease people. The judicial system failed Jesus.

Hebrews 4:15 assures us that Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses, because He was tempted in every way that we are, but He did not sin. Now, as the resurrected Son of God, He has given us the power to be victorious in every crisis. He has given us the ability to prevail.

Satan is a roaring lion seeking to devour, but the Child born to us was the Lion of the Tribe of Judah that crushed him completely.

    Today’s Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Jesus is acquainted with your hurt and heartbreak. In every circumstance, He is your Prince of Peace and glorious Hope.
