The American born Televangelist and the Senior Pastor of Free Chapel, Jentezin Franklin was born on the 21st of July, 1962, in Wilson, North Carolina, United State. Franklin was born and brought up in a devoted Christian Background. Having a pastor as a father, Franklin chose to follow his father’s footsteps.
He abandon his studies in order to become a preacher of Christ. He was first trained as a Saxophone player at Atlantic Christian College Department. He later however committed his life fully to Jesus and yearned to do something great for God at the age of 16.

Evangelist Jentezen Franklin was born to his father Pastor Billy Franklin and his mother Kate Franklin in Wilson, North Carolina, United State. Franklin is the third child of the five children of his parents. He has two elder brothers named Doyle Franklin and Richie Franklin and two younger sisters named Jennifer Franklin and Jill Franklin . Unfortunately his elder brother Richie Franklin died on 1st of December, 2012.

Franklin attended Atlantic Christian College (Currently known as Barton College) where he studied tenor saxophone. Franklin attended the school along with his elder brother Richie but unfortunately didn’t complete the College after his brother Richie graduated from the school.

MINISTRY
After Jentezen Franklin abandon his academic studies in pursuit of his ministerial calling under the leadership of his father where he was nurtured as an evangelist in the Church of God. Pastor Jentezen Franklin was initially posted as the lead Pastor of Free Chapel, after Roy Wellborn the then senior Pastor of Free Chapel Churchpassed away in 1989.
Franklin took over the Church and in 2004 they moved to a new location that has over 3,000 seat auditoriums. In 2007, Free Chapel opened her second branch in Irvine, California. In 2014, Free Chapel through Evangelist Franklin launched another of their branch Gwinnett Church in Suwanee, Georgia, United State. The Ministry continued to wax stronger through the leadership of Evangelist Jentezen Franklin.
Few years after, Franklin Expanded Free Chapel to South Carolina in Spartanburg which commence in 2016, also in 2018 Free Chapel added a Midtown campus in Atlanta.
During his interview with the “Time” he said, “It has always been his dream to have a Church in Atlanta”. Free Chapel has locations in other areas including: Orange County CA; Buford GA; and Cumming GA.
Evangelist Franklin owned a TV program known as Kingdom Connection which is broadcasted on TBN, Church Channel and other major networks across the globe. Jentezen Franklin Ministries host three annual conferences which include: One Marriage Conference, Divine Woman Conference and The Forward Students Conference.
