How To Love Jesus More Than Anything

When we truly begin to know Jesus, desire Him and see His great love for us, we will then be able to love Him back in a way that is pleasing to Him. And love is the most important thing God ever asked of us. The Bible says: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (Matthew 22:37). We may think we already do this but if we are honest, there are so many things that get our attention or so many activities or objects of affection that end up at least as important in our lives as Jesus Christ. It can be work, money, school, sports or anything else that takes up more time and energy than it should. How can you bring more of your heart into loving Jesus? Here are some ideas:

How To Love Jesus More Than Anything

Have you ever wondered how you can truly love Jesus more than anything?

Have you ever wondered how you can truly love Jesus more than anything?

It’s a question that has been asked by many, and it requires asking yourself some leading questions: What does it mean to love Jesus? How do we show our love for God? And why is it important to love Jesus more than anything else in this world.

Learn about Him.

The best way to learn about Jesus is through the Bible. The Bible is the book that tells us about God and how He makes us His children (Hebrews 1:1-13). It’s also the book that reveals Jesus as our Savior (John 3:16). And it teaches us how we can live a life that pleases Him (Romans 12:1-2).

The most essential part of your daily routine should be reading God’s word each day. There are many ways you can do this—the best option will depend on your personality, circumstances, schedule and other factors. You could read through both Old Testament and New Testament every day; or pick up a different translation once every few days; or read one chapter at bedtime; or listen to an audio version while driving or exercising; etc.—but whatever method you choose, make sure your mind is continually renewed by what God has said in His word!

Learn about our purpose of being here on earth.

As Christians, we have a purpose for our time here on earth. That purpose is to love and be loved by God. We are called to love one another and ourselves. When you think about it, this makes sense because God is perfect love (1 John 4:8). He wants His children to share that perfection with each other so they can help each other grow closer to Him!

It’s important that we understand how much God loves us through loving others so that when people see us they will see Him (Matthew 5:16).

Listen to Him.

  • Listen to Him in the Bible.

Jesus is at work in the Bible, and He wants to speak with you through it. Listen for His voice when you read or hear a reading from Scripture, and let Him speak into your life through Scripture’s words.

  • Listen to Him in the world around you:

Jesus is present in all things, including nature and creation! Go outside on a beautiful day, or sit by a window that overlooks a garden or park; listen for His voice as He speaks through creation all around us!

  • Listen to Jesus within yourself:

Jesus can speak directly into our hearts as well! Pay attention during daily prayer or meditation; listen for what God has placed there for us personally during those times of quiet reflection and contemplation (Psalm 19:14).

Ask for the Holy Spirit to help.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19

When you pray and ask Jesus to help you love Him more than anything, you must also ask the Holy Spirit to help as well. The Holy Spirit will be with us every step of the way on this journey because He lives inside our bodies! In fact, it was through Him that we were baptized into Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13), and He is our life source! Don’t underestimate His power or His role in helping us grow closer to Christ every day.

Pray for the gift of charity.

  • Pray for the gift of charity.
  • Pray for the gift of faith.
  • Pray for the gift of hope.
  • Pray for the gift of love.
  • Pray for the gift of peace.
  • Pray for the gift of joy.
  • Pray for the gift of wisdom

You can learn to love Jesus more than anything by following these steps!

The first step to loving Jesus more than anything is learning about him. Learn how he lived on earth, why he came and died for us, and what God wants you to do with your life. The best way to learn about Jesus is through the Bible. Read it every day!

After you have learned a lot about Jesus, the next step is learning about ourselves and our purpose of being here on earth. We must know who we are before we can love ourselves fully and completely. This means that we need to accept all parts of who we are—the good parts along with the bad ones—and realize that no one else will love us as much as God does because only he knows everything there is to know about us (Psalm 139:1-4).

Once you have learned about yourself, then comes time for listening! Listen closely when Jesus speaks directly into your life through his word or by another person speaking truth through them into yours (John 7:16). Don’t be afraid if what they say is difficult at first; instead let those words become seeds planted deep inside where they’ll grow over time until eventually blooming into beautiful flowers which produce sweet smelling fragrances filling up rooms when opened during springtime months each year…or something like that 🙂 And just remember: “Faithful are those little things which grow in quiet corners.” -Unknown author

Conclusion

It can be difficult to love Jesus more than anything in our busy lives, where we have so many distractions. However, we can learn to love Him more by doing what He asks of us. In order to truly love Jesus, we have to know Him and understand who He is. We also need to understand why God created us in the first place—to serve Him! Once you know these things about God, you will begin to hear His voice speak through your conscience as well as through Scripture and Church teachings. As long as you keep listening for His voice and obeying it, then it will become easier for you
