GROWTH IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST – Daily Devotional (August-18-2021)

Daily Devotional (August-18-2021) GROWTH IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST

Scripture Reference: Hosea 14:5 – “I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.”_

After one has given his heart to Christ God expects such a person to grow in the knowledge of Christ. Your growth depends on you. _(2Peter 3:18) “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”_ Growth is a personal discipline. Meaning it is a practice of training yourself to obey rules or a code of behavior, it is a decision based on you and you only. Growth is possible that is why Peter is asking us to grow in grace. When you don’t grow up so many bad things happen to you.

Many are not receiving answers to their prayers because they are ignorant of God’s Word. There are so many Christians who are still in the babe’s state: spiritually they are babies. It is very important thing to grow in the things of God. Such people are feed with spiritual milk, meaning they are feed with stories in the Bible. They are not able to handle strong information or are they strong enough to have real spiritual experience.

If you are in this state you are denying yourself of experiencing the supernatural. There are more to do with Christianity than what you think it is. My dear, understand that growth is a requirement of heaven. Growth makes you strong and wise enough for life. Study for life not just for a meeting. Study for growth but don’t only study to teach. When you grow many around you will also grow with you.

Make it a top priority to give yourself to studying of God’s Word. Growth will increase your hunger for the supernatural and you will discover more and more in Christ.

Prayer – Dear Father, thank you for the Word today which is life to me, I take a decision to grow thereby, I receive the grace to study the Word in all richness in Jesus mighty Name. Amen.
