According to Isaiah 40:31, those who wait upon the Lord “shall mount up with wings like eagles.” But Jesus warned against becoming entangled with “the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches” (Matthew 13:22). It’s easy for us to become tangled in sin at just the moment we should be soaring by faith.

Keep your eyes on Him, wait on the Lord, mount up daily on the winds of His grace, and be aware of anything that will entangle your flight.
