Pastor Creflo Dollar’s sermon ”What happens when fear becomes bondage” focuses on the power of fear and how it affects us. Creflo started off by saying that Fear can be a powerful force, it can make us do things that we wouldn’t normally do and it can make us become bound by it.
The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We are not meant to be in bondage to fear.
When we allow fear to take over our lives, it can become bondage. We become enslaved to our own fears and it holds us back from achieving our goals and dreams. We become so consumed with our fears that it paralyzes us and we don’t take action to move forward.
Fear has a way of making us focus on the wrong things. Instead of focusing on the possibilities, we focus on the “what ifs” and the negative outcomes. We worry about things that may never happen, and it takes away from the joy of living life to its full potential.
We have to remember that God is with us and He will never leave us or forsake us. He is our protector, our provider, and our strength. He has given us the power to overcome our fears and to live a life of freedom and joy.
The Bible says in Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
God is with us every step of the way and He will never leave us. We can conquer our fears and be free from the bondage of fear. We can be strong and courageous and live a life of power, love, and a sound mind.
