Charles Stanley Daily Devotional The Godly Quality of Generosity : 2 corinthians 9 vs.6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Generosity is an attitude of sharing whatever we may have irrespective of wealth, in todays passage, we see that liberality is an attribute of God. Our heavenly father wants us to develop a charitable spirit, a charitable spirit begins by giving our selves to God.
When we Christians accept that God owns everything, we can hold our small share with an open hand, instead of calculating what little amount we might squeeze out for charity. christians who give sacrificially trust the lord to supply enough to cover both their gifts and their own need.
Charles Stanley Only through giving do we learn that God cannot be out given, there fore we should begin today to cultivate a generous spirit by trusting him to provide the resources.
