Charles Stanley Daily Devotional 16 September 2021 God’s Provision – Matthew 13:22-33 Says,
22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
33 He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
We all face trials in life, its either we are already in one or are coming out of one or are heading into one, however we have a wonderful God who always provides for us in times of needs, even during our dark times. Jesus provides for us in various ways,
He provides us with his presence through the holy spirit who dwells in us and he has promised never to leave us, this is a great gift because it gives us a great sense of comfort, courage and confidence. Once we have Jesus what else can we possibly need.
He also blesses christians with guidance and pathway in times of trouble, Jesus is in total control of our storm, just like he was at the time in the sea with the disciples. he will use our storms for his purposes in our lives and in that of our neighbours. We may not understand, but we can trust him to lead us and accomplish good and greatness.
He also offers believers potentials, he offers believers the ability to grow. The hardships we go though are to be looked at as trust exercises, it helps us to understand who God is fully and how great his power and love. No one enjoys trials but we can be grateful for Gods hands in our lives and the ways he will uses us. Hardships are opportunities to know our creator better.
