Bishop Noel Jones Biography
Bishop Noel Jones is a Jamaican-American preacher and a Pentecostal Bishop. He is the senior pastor of the City of Refuge Church formerly known as Greater Bethany Community Church in Gardena, California, with a capacity of about 17,000 members.
Bishop Jones was born on the 31st of January, 1950, in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He is one of the seven children of Bishop Robert and Marjorie Jones’s . Jones father was an Apostolic pastor and politician.
Grace Jones, a well-known actress and singer is Noel Jones’ sister.
In 1965, Noel’s parents moved him and his two younger siblings, Chris and Grace, to Syracuse, New York. At the age of 19, Noel started his ministry.

At an event, the 72-year-old LA pastor announced on-stage in front of a live audience. He then invited Loretta Jones, on stage to join him as he announced the couple’s decision.
Rumors had it that Jones once dated actress Lisa Raye McCoy in the past, as well as being linked to Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes. Jones however dismissed the rumors and stated thus:

In a 2013 interview ,Joel stated thus; I don’t date Lisa Raye; we’re just very good friends.”
He was spotted with Nene in 2008, before she featured on RHOA, and reports of his supposed relationship with Lisa began to circulate in 2011.

Bishop Noel Jones was appointed by the The Greater Bethany Community Church (a church is located at 84th and Hoover Street in South Los Angeles, California.) to succeed Bishop Robert W. McMurray as the lead pastor in June 1994 .
During Jones’ tenure, the church’s membership grew to a large number resulting to the purchase of a new structure in Gardena, California in 2003 .
In June 1994, he succeeded Bishop Robert W. McMurray as pastor to around 1,000 members of the Greater Bethany Community Church.
