Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon I’m Under Pressure : With privilege comes pressure. sometimes people want certain privileges, but not the pressure associated with those privileges. pressure is relative for instance a sixteen year old whose broke his heart is broken has no experience and does not know he will be fine hence to him the problem is everything and he really feels like he is going to die.
A lot of times we minimize other peoples misery because we have grown past them. but if we can find the time to remember that there was a time we were in their shoes, it will be helpful to them, sometimes some people jus need a little encouragement to feel better. apostle Paul was a minister and a man who was under pressure he said in 2nd corinthians vs 4- 8 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair” generally, when we are able to pick our battles or when the battles are coming from one direction, we are able to withstand the pressure but apostle Paul said the troubles were coming at us from every side but he over came, even though it was not easy on the inside, Paul over came.
Pastor Furtick Steven said we must remember pressure makes diamonds, but it can also lead you to making bad decisions therefore we must choose to make the good and correct decision. a lot of people have been crushed by pressure into little bits of nothing, their dreams just died. this is because a lot of people do not know what to do with their pressure, just like apostle Paul handled his pressure. your pressure is trying to point you to something, we must always remember that even though we are ordinary people, we have an extra ordinary presence in us just like apostle Paul, there fore like apostle Paul, we can overcome.
