As we come before the Lord in prayer on this Sunday night of April 30, 2023, let us reflect on the goodness of God and His abundant blessings in our lives. It is through His grace and mercy that we are able to gather together and seek His presence. Let us approach Him with a humble heart, thanking Him for His love and faithfulness. Let us also lift up our prayers for the world and for those who are in need. May the Holy Spirit guide us and fill us with His peace and strength as we come before the throne of God.
Bible Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28.
Sunday Night Prayer April 30 2023:
Heavenly Father, We come before you tonight with hearts full of gratitude for all the blessings that You have bestowed upon us. We thank You for Your love and mercy that sustain us each day. Lord, we confess that we often fall short of Your glory and need Your forgiveness and grace. We pray that You would forgive us for our sins and help us to live a life that is pleasing to You.
Father, we lift up our world to You. We pray for those who are suffering from illness, hunger, poverty, and injustice. We ask that You would comfort them in their affliction and provide for their needs. We pray for those who are lonely, anxious, and depressed. We ask that You would heal their hearts and minds and fill them with Your peace.
Lord, we pray for our leaders, both locally and globally. We ask that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and courage as they make decisions that affect the lives of many. We pray for unity and peace in our communities and in our world. We ask that You would heal the divisions that exist and help us to love and serve one another as You have called us to do.
Father, we pray for our families and friends. We ask that You would protect them from harm and keep them safe. We pray that You would strengthen our relationships with one another and help us to be a blessing to those around us.
Lord, we also lift up our church to You. We pray for our pastors and leaders, that You would guide them and bless them as they serve Your people. We pray for our congregation, that we would be a light in this world and share the good news of Your salvation with others.
Finally, we pray for ourselves. We ask that You would help us to grow in our faith and deepen our relationship with You. We pray that You would give us the strength and courage to face whatever challenges come our way. We ask that You would fill us with Your Holy Spirit and empower us to live a life that is pleasing to You.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
