Announcing the death of the former Pope, Benedict XVI, the Holy See press Office wrote: “With sorrow I inform you that the Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI, passed away today at 9:34 AM in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican. Further information will be provided as soon as possible. As of Monday morning, 2 January 2023, the body of the Pope Emeritus will be in Saint Peter’s Basilica so the faithful can bid farewell.”

Pope Emeritus as he decided to be called after resignation, was made the Pope; who is the head of the Catholic church world wide and the Vatican state on the 19th April 2005; at this time he was 78 years old, until his resignation in 2013 February 28. right after the death of Pope john Paul.
