John Hagee daily devotionals September 6 2022 :
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour
One of the most crucial tactics in military science is to know the enemy. In order to defeat an enemy, one must know that enemy.
Today, many scoff at the idea of a spiritual realm of darkness where Satan rules, where his fiendish agents carry out missions to “steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10). But Ephesians 6:12 warns believers that we do not fight against flesh and blood. We battle against satanic beings, evil princes of darkness, and spiritual envoys from the headquarters of wickedness.
While we may not perceive them with natural eyes, we need not look far to see the damage that they have perpetrated: a global pandemic, a world thrown into confusion, seething racial tensions, economic collapse, soaring unemployment, and broken families. Satan is on the prowl!
Now is the time to be sober and vigilant and aware of the father of lies! Now is the time to suit up; put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, and the helmet of salvation. Now is the time to wield the flaming sword of the Word of God, to heft the shield of faith to dodge every burning missile the enemy hurls at us. In this life-and-death fight to the finish, now is the time to pray.
Today’s Blessing:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Be strong and courageous! God is for us, so who can stand against us? The Commander of Angel Armies will not be overcome!
