Dear Lord, I pray that you comfort _____ in this time of grief.

    Please fill them with peace.

    Help them to feel strong.

Give guidance and understanding to their heart and mind.

Give wisdom about what they should do now, tomorrow, and always after this day has passed. Give hope so they can see beyond this pain they feel today and into a new future where life is once again full of joy and happiness instead of sadness, sorrow, and pain caused by the loss of someone special in their lives today or yesterday but who will be truly missed every single day until we meet again someday when it’s our turn for heaven on earth; for then there will be no more tears just eternal joy without end! Amen!

When someone you love has died, it can be difficult to know what to pray for them. You might feel like your prayers aren’t enough or that they’re not being heard. While some people naturally have greater faith than others and may have a stronger belief system when their loved one passes away, everyone grieves differently. It’s important to remember this and to allow yourself the opportunity to learn more about how your loved one experienced death after their passing.

Your prayers should address these four areas: peace, comfort, strength/courage, faith strengthened/hope strengthened/love strengthened

Heavenly Father, I know there are no words to take away the pain and hurt, but I pray for Your comfort and peace. May You bless this person with strength in these times.

May she feel Your presence and know that You are with her.

Let her be comforted by Your love, O Lord.

    5. I ask that you bring people into my (our) life to show your love and grace in our lives and help us continue on this journey.

I know you are with us, Father. I ask that you would bring people into our lives to show your love and grace in our lives, and help us continue on this journey.

My husband feels alone in this. Please send women who will befriend him and encourage him with their stories of grief, who will understand what he is going through because they have been there themselves. Send someone who has lost a child or parent or spouse so that my husband does not feel alone in his grief or ashamed for having feelings of anger towards God for taking away his child too soon.

Please show me how to love my sister-in-law even more than I already do; teach me how to reach out to her when she needs it most—even if it means stepping out of my comfort zone at times—because there may be some things she cannot talk about with others (including herself), but there are also some things only another woman can understand!

    6. When it seems like everything is falling apart around me, help me look up to see what You’re doing around me.

Take a moment to remember how much God loves you. He knows what it’s like to be in your shoes. When you feel like everything is falling apart around you, help him look up to see what he’s doing around you.
